Voltage Regulators - Linear
Linear voltage regulators operate by using a voltage-controlled current source to force a fixed voltage to appear at the regulator output terminal. Linear voltage regulators may have fixed or adjustable output voltages. Linear regulators can be used only if the input voltage is higher than the output.
